Another hilarious production made possible by xtranormal. This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while, and absolutely worth reposting. As much as I fall into Apple fanboy mentality sometimes, stuff like this is a good reminder to shake you back to reality of how annoying it can be to those who don’t buy into the madness (for more on that, see The Onion’s brilliant ‘Apple Friend Bar’).
And, the fact that this scenario probably isn’t too far from the truth in many situations is an amazing reminder of just how much people buy into this brand.
For better or worse.
Enjoy.
I’ve been actively trying to avoid going too crazy with technolust for the iPad, not because I don’t think it is going to be fantastic but largely because I just didn’t want to go for the first generation only to get pissed off when the far better next gen comes out. But today’s news about the Netflix streaming app that’s now available (along with rumors of the upcoming Hulu app) which seem to solve (at least in part) some of the iPads video woes are pushing me to seriously reconsider my decision so far. Probably too late to jump on the bandwagon now, but at this point I didn’t expect to be feeling guilty about not going for it straight out of the gate. Add to that what looks to be hundreds of apps already approved, and I feel my doubts about holding out growing stronger.
Anyone else try to holdout and now rethinking that decision? Maybe there’s a facebook support group for it. (ill leave off with a taste of some of those approved apps via, app advice and mashableIncredibly well done parody by the gents at College Humor. Captures the feeling of an Apple ‘behind the scenes’ video almost a little too well (wonder if Apple will be hunting for tipsters/moles within their walls).
The train-wreck that is Jersey Shore, which I just cannot turn away from, results in yet another classic moment.
Epic.
OK fine, it’s not really from Google. But how great would it be if it was?
Pure awesomeness (and that’s coming from an iPhone tool).

In all honesty, I’m still going to be waiting for the Apple tablet. But I’ll give credit where it’s due, Msoft is actually making it happen sooner. And, it looks to be hitting the stores in the near future. Will be curious to see the reception this gets.
A few excerpts from Gizmodo’s first look:
Courier is a real device, and we’ve heard that it’s in the “late prototype” stage of development. It’s not a tablet, it’s a booklet. The dual 7-inch (or so) screens are multitouch, and designed for writing, flicking and drawing with a stylus, in addition to fingers. They’re connected by a hinge that holds a single iPhone-esque home button. Statuses, like wireless signal and battery life, are displayed along the rim of one of the screens. On the back cover is a camera, and it might charge through an inductive pad, like the Palm Touchstone charging dock for Pre.
The Courier user experience presented here is almost the exact opposite of what everyone expects the Apple tablet to be, a kung fu eagle claw to Apple’s tiger style. It’s complex: Two screens, a mashup of a pen-dominated interface with several types of multitouch finger gestures, and multiple graphically complex themes, modes and applications. (Our favorite UI bit? The hinge doubles as a “pocket” to hold items you want move from one page to another.) Microsoft’s tablet heritage is digital ink-oriented, and this interface, while unlike anything we’ve seen before, clearly draws from that, its work with the Surface touch computer and even the Zune HD.
